What We All Want Song of the Week
Don't expect this to become a regular feature around these parts or anything (Listening Station, we're looking in your direction). Or, maybe you could just think of each "week" as actually constituting a month or two, then it would be regular. At any rate, here's a way for us to attempt to convince you to listen to particular songs. You'll do so if you know what's good for you. This week's selection is Chromeo's "Tenderoni," a song Pitchfork reported on recently. Although they sum it up pretty well, suffice it to say, these dudes would sound great on a bill opening for LCD Soundsystem (Sound of Silver is awesome, by the way, but we'll save that tangent for another post). This is danceable noise the way it should be - stupid, not afraid of being stupid and groove for the sake of groove. With lyrics that talk about learning dances and getting into pantses, no less! Phew. Just listen:

Chromeo ranks up there on my list. I loooove them.
Damn right this isn't taking up your monthly column! You're not leaving me high and dry, slacker!
